Ka tākaro, ka mahi, ka ako tahi mātou

At Spotted Frog, tamariki are supported to build, sustain, and enjoy relationships. They develop the ability to learn collaboratively (mahi tahi) and alongside others (ako). Through a responsive learning environment, we foster their self-awareness and regulation.

Manawa mākoha/ ngākau aroha, hapori kaha

Spotted Frog tamariki celebrate kindness (kia atawhai) & empathy and have respect for community, culture, self, others and differences. They know their place in the world and strengthen connections through hikoi and community based experiences.

Spotted Frog tamariki are innately curious and learn through exploration and play. We nurture their resilience, confidence, physical capabilities and other unique learning dispositions throughout our holistic curriculum.

OUR COMMITMENT

At Spotted Frog, we are dedicated to the principles of Te Tiriti ō Waitangi and fostering an environment where Māori succeed as Māori.

We work in partnership with whānau, building trust and communication. We invite and celebrate whānau aspirations, creating a shared vision for your child’s learning and we encourage active participation and contribution within our programme.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

Spotted Frog has open ended resources and thought provoking play spaces that foster real world experiences, curiosity and joy.

Our child led philosophy promotes an inclusive setting and celebrates the uniqueness of all tamariki. Our centre is intrinsically connected to our wider community, enriching and nurturing children’s sense of tūrangawaewae (their place in the world).
